<<Leon’s Overlord the X Kagero Deck Profile>>

First Vanguard
Lizard Hero, Undeux

Triggers:-
3 Demonic Dragon Mage, Apalala (Critical)
2 Embodiment of Spear, Tahr (Critical)
3 Seal Dragon, Biella (Critical)
4 Gattling Claw Dragon (Draw)
4 Mother Orb Dragon (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
3 Lizard General, Conroe
3 Spear of the Flame Dragon, Tahr
3 Lava Flow Dragon
4 Protect Orb Dragon (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
3 Burning Horn Dragon
3 Dragonic Burnout
2 Dragon Knight, Nehalem
2 Emperor Dragon Knight, Nehalem

Grade 3s:-
4 Dragonic Overlord “The X”
4 Dragonic Overlord the End
2 Dragonic Overlord “The Legend”

Strides and G Guardians:-
1 Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon, Vortex Desire
2 Divine Dragon Knight, Mustafa
2 Flame Emperor Dragon King, Root Flare Dragon
2 Transcendence Divine Dragon, Nouvelle Vague L’Express
4 Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon, Dragonic Blademaster “Taiten”
2 Flame Emperor Dragon King, Asyl Orb Dragon (G-Guardian)
2 Flame Wing Steel Beast, Denial Griffin (G-Guardian)
1 Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon, Defeat Flare Dragon (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • Generally speaking, this is your well known “Overlord” build with The X, but done so to my own personal liking. Much like others, the goal is to filter your deck until it is left full of critical triggers. But it is not as simple as you’d think it would be.
  • Everyone knows how great this deck can be, but instead of retelling them, I will instead talk about the cons that this deck has.
    • First off, you don’t have a great choice of G-Guardians purely for defending yourself. Denial Griffin is great and all at retiring attacking rear-guards, but even with Conroe available, you must make sure that you plan your counterblasts so that you can retaliate the next turn. Not only that, but unlike other G-Guardians, he doesn’t get any additional shields, which is one of the biggest problems when G-Guarding.
    • On the same topic, Defeat Flare Dragon will not save you unless your opponent decides to attack with the Vanguard during his first attack step. Like Denial Griffin, he doesn’t get any additional shield. Sure, he can hinder your opponent for one turn, but just like Denial Griffin, managing your Counterblasts is another thing to keep track of.
    • Lastly, this deck does require some semblance of luck. You need to draw the right cards to handle the situation that you are in. Draw triggers, as of this build, is the only way to get some additional cards to help both offensively and defensively.
  • Beyond that, it remains a strong deck that can apply plenty of pressure on your opponent. Combo-wise, the focus is on performing Legion with “the X” as often as you can, and sending your triggers back to the deck with it. Letting the game drag on will benefit you more than your opponent will.
  • And before you ask, yes. I chose not to play Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon, Dragonic Overlord “the Ace”, simply because of the focus of this deck. It’s only helpful when you are unable to Legion for some reason, which is only in a few rare cases. You can have him in your G Zone if you prefer, but I’m most certain you’ll find that his place in the G Zone becomes less significant the more you play.

First Vanguard
Knight of Early Dawn, Coel

Triggers:-
3 Flame of Victory (Critical)
3 Scarface Lion (Critical)
4 Player of the Holy Pipe, Gerrie (Stand)
2 Gigantech Ringer (Stand)
4 Curable Angel (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
2 Player of the Holy Harp, Nimane
3 Knight of Daybreak, Holsa
3 Dawning Knight, Gorboduc
3 Sunshine Knight, Jeffrey
3 Holy Mage, Candace (Sentinel)
1 Holy Mage, Lavinia (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
3 Knight of the Remaining Sun, Henrinus
2 Bullrgal
3 Knight of the Faint Sun, Marcia
2 Holy Mage, Pwyll

Grade 3s:-
4 Sunrise Ray Knight, Gurguit
4 Dawnngal

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Sunrise Ray Radiant Sword, Gurguit
4 Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon
2 Golden Dragon, Scourge Point Dragon
1 Golden Dragon, Ray Breath Dragon
1 Golden Knight of Incandescence, Ebraucus
1 Golden Dragon, Rising Shine Dragon
1 Metal Element, Scryew (G-Guardian)
1 Sacred Heaven Prayer Master, Reia (G-Guardian)
3 Golden Beast, Sleimy Flare (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • First off, using Golden Dragon, Scourge Point Dragon as my first stride allows me to rush out of the gate with a strong power base. His ability to grant an extra 5000 Power to units that were superior called through unit skills like Gurguit, Henrinus and others can create rear-guard columns with high enough Power to force a 15ooo or 20000 guard, depending on the situation.
  • Proviously, I had Knight of Spring’s Light, Perimore as my main caller but now with Henrinus, I can use his skill to call it to another rear-guard instead of in the same column. The additional cost of a Soulblast is negligible.
  • I only play one Holy Mage, Lavinia because her Perfect Guard is only activated from hand instead of appearing on the RG unlike Candace and the old-style Perfect Guards. So, she’s not a viable choice to call to the Guardian Circle with Sleimy Flare’s skill. But her other skill that allows me to return her back to my hand on Unite by sending another rear-guard to the bottom of the deck is hard to ignore.
  • The combination of Glorious Reigning Dragon (#GLORIOUSBOMB!) and Holsa’s skills is strong, playing to the strength of multiple high-powered attacks. With Holsa pumping 2000 Power to itself (not sure of Holsa’s gender) and the unit in the same column as it when a unit is called, that Power grows exponentially you use Glorious Reigning Dragon’s skill. Combine it with Pwyll and, well, the hike in price for Pwyll becomes a little more justified.
  • Marcia and Gerrie remain effective in Countercharging, as well as building up soul for paying Radiant Sword, Gurguit’s skill. That, on top of Glorious Reigning Dragon’s additional ability to Countercharge and Soulcharge adds to it for the final push with Radiant Sword, Gurguit.
  • There is not that many changes between this build and the last one, but GBT08 really does help Gold Paladin in a sense with providing multi-attacking in one attack phase, something other clans can also do now. But I hope you guys can create your own ways of your Gold Paladin deck.

<<Josephine’s Ahsha Deck Profile>>

First Vanguard
Triggers:-
Grade 0s:-
Grade 1s:-
Grade 2s:-
Grade 3s:-
Strides and G-Guardians:-
Notes:
  • There have been almost no changes made to this deck from the previous build other than the addition of Lisbeth, which has been restricted to one copy, in accordance to tournament rulings, as well as the G-units.
  • With the addition of Ilmatar, this deck is gunning towards using Bloom as its focus. However, at the moment changes for that have yet to be made.
  • When you work with units that have multiple copies remaining on the field, Verna actually helps to raise your guarding ability as well as preserve the number of cards in hand which could be left to boost your offense.
  • The rest of the notes are similar to the previous list, so refer to that for more details.

Cardfight #60: Team AL Handsome’s Deck Profiles (Amon Dark Irregulars, Nightrose Granblue, Blaster Shadow Paladin)

Hey, fighters.

In this special relay fight, where we pitted Team AL Handsome (JJ’s Amon Dark Irregulars, Ben’s Nightrose Granblue and Jasmine’s Blaster Shadow Paladin deck) against Team Traffic Light (Leon’s Overlord the X Kagero, Brian’s Gurguit Gold Paladin and Josephine’s Ahsha Neo Nectar).

<<JJ’s Amon Dark Irregulars Deck Profile>>

First Vanguard
Amon’s Follower, Barmaid Grace

Triggers:-
4 Amon’s Follower, Cruel Hand (Critical)
4 Amon’s Follower, Grausam (Critical)
4 Monochrome of Nightmareland (Stand)
4 Amon’s Follower, Hell’s Trick (Heal)

Grade 0s:-
2 Amon’s Follower, Barmaid Grace

Grade 1s:-
4 Amon’s Follower, Hell’s Deal
4 Amon’s Follower, Mad Eye
3 Flag Breaker (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
4 Amon’s Follower, Hell’s Draw
4 Amon’s Follower, Ron Geenlin
4 Demon of Aspiration, Amon

Grade 3s:-
2 Amon’s Leader, Astaroth
2 Demon Marquis, Amon “Яeverse”
4 Demon World Marquis, Amon

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Abominable One, Gilles de Rais
2 Amon’s Talon, Marchocias
2 Mask of Demonic Frenzy, Ericrius
2 One Steeped in Sin, Scharhrot
2 Rebellious Retainer of Fresh Blood, Frederick
2 Nighttime Gentleman, Saint-Germain (G-Guardian)
4 False Dark Wings, Agrat bat Mahlat (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • Not much has changed since the last time we saw our friendly neighbourhood Amon. Besides the strides that is.
  • The general gist of the deck is simple. Deck becomes soul. Proceed to cave the opponent under the friendly might of your soul.
  • One of the key elements of the deck is the lovely Barmaid Grace so keep her alive as much as u can. However, Counterblast is limited so exercise caution.
  • As for the ride up, it is pretty obvious that u want to have the Grade 2 Amon as the Vanguard and depending on who started first you will ride into either Amon “Reverse” or Astaroth.
  • It is alright to ride into the base Amon as well. If nothing else, his innate power is nothing to laugh at late game especially if both players are unable to stride.
  • As always, my strides are catered towards various situations so feel free to use the strides for whatever board state you see fit. No doubt the finishers are pretty obvious.
  • Now go and nourish thy souls. But do not get too greedy.

<<Ben’s Nightrose Granblue Deck Profile>>

First Vanguard
Peter the Ghostie

Triggers:-
4 Rough Seas Banshee (Critical)
4 Rampage Shade (Critical)
4 Mick the Ghostie and Family (Stand)
4 Good Luck Charm Banshee (Heal)

Grade 0s:-
1 Undying Departed, Grenache

Grade 1s:-
4 Tommy the Ghostie Brothers
2 Witch Doctor of the Powdered Bone, Negrobone
2 Bale the Ghostie
1 John the Ghostie
4 Waterspout Djinn (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
3 Witch Doctor of Languor, Negrolazy
3 Witch Doctor of the Rotten Sea, Negrorook
2 Pirate Swordsman, Colombard
2 Skeleton Cannoneer
1 King Serpent

Grade 3s:-
4 Vampire Princess of Night Fog, Nightrose
2 Mighty Rogue, Nightstorm
2 Ghoul Dragon, Gast Dragon

Strides and G Guardians:-
4 Mist Phantasm Pirate King, Nightrose
4 Tempest-calling Pirate King, Gouache
1 Ghostie Great King, Obadiah
1 Pirate King of the Abyss, Blueheart
1 Air Element, Sebreeze
2 Eclipse Dragonhulk, Deep Corpse Dragon (G-Guardian)
2 Great Witch Doctor of Banquets, Negrolily (G-Guardian)
1 Metal Element, Scryew (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • Gouache, the new G Unit Granblue has gotten from GBT08, is a flexible boss for primarily filling the midgame niche while still performing decently in the late game. Functioning very similarly to another Granblue G Unit known as Loved by the Seven Seas, Nightmist, albeit more heavy in cost, Gouache offers the same utility as Nightmist but with more benefits (rear-guards revived via Goauche’s gain power and units without the Hollow mechanic aren’t retired at the end of turn).
  • Gouache’s Soulblast cost (or in general) can be considered an upside as its still filling your toolkit. Just don’t go overboard and completely empty your soul.
  • Like Gouache, Bale the Ghostie is another welcome addition. Due to the timing for Bale’s Countercharge, he gives you the option for resource-heavy plays even when you don’t have much face-up damage. He also has very good interaction with Negrolily.
  • King Serpent is an amazing tech in the deck. It is an overall costless +1 by Nightrose’s on-stride skill while simultaneously supplying soul for Negrolazy and Gouache, alongside Rough Seas Banshee and Rampage Shade. The mediocre base power is no problem as it is mitigated by, again, Nightrose’s on-stride skill.
  • While it may seem strange to run Grenache in the main deck rather than the First Vanguard, tutoring him via Obadiah is one of the more efficient methods of sending him to the drop zone. That is unless you call a new unit over Grenache, immediately activate Hollow upon calling him or use Negrobone’s skill.
  • With the addition of the new G-Guardian, Negrolily, Nightrose now has more opportunities to activate her GB2 on the opponent’s turn, as eliminating Granblue’s rearguards directly during the late game is rare.
  • Pirate King, Nightrose is still the deck’s main finisher. Her steep counterblast cost is understandably off-putting, but her interactions with the rear-guards make up for her shortcomings. Grenache is able to refresh your resources after that so that you don’t run out of steam.
  • It is not difficult to deck out with Nightrose, so it is recommended not to mill and draw en-masse mindlessly.
  • Overall with the new toys that Granblue has gotten, the deck runs more flexibly. Nightrose has more options for strides and strategies, as well as utilising key units she previously couldn’t use properly without burning tons of resources like Cannoneer. While Nightrose isn’t a straightforward deck and requires practice, the returns are rewarding for both practicality and fun.

<<Jasmine’s Blaster Shadow Paladin Deck Profile>>

First Vanguard
Knight of Meditation, Mac Nessa

Triggers:-
4 Revenger, Undead Angel (Critical)
4 Leaping Knight, Ligan Lumna (Critical)
4 Mage of the Rogue Eye, Arsur (Stand)
4 Illegal Alchemist (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
4 Black Chain Spirit Dance Formation, Kahedin
3 Arduous Battle Knight, Claudas
3 Pitch Black Sage, Charon
4 Karma Collector (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
4 Black Chain Flame Dance Formation, Hoel
3 Bloodstained Battle Knight, Dorint
3 Dark Night Maiden, Macha
1 Blaster Dark

Grade 3s:-
4 Blaster Dark “Diablo”
4 Whirlwind of Darkness, Vortimer “Diablo”

Strides and G Guardians:-
4 Supremacy Black Dragon, Aurageyser Dragon
2 Supremacy Black Dragon, Aurageyser Doomed
2 Dark Dragon, Spectral Blaster “Diablo”
4 Dark Dragon, Phantom Blaster “Diablo”
4 Dark Knight, Ludvik (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • I feel that Shadow Paladin has become really self-sustaining, yet be able to maintain pressure, even though they constantly need to retire for their skills. Cards like Kahedin add Power, as well as pressure on the opponent to guard, especially when it is combined with Mac Nessa.
  • Charon is another good card, along with Arsur, as they both count as two units when retired for a cost. This makes the retiring less painful and still maintain field presence.
  • One key combo in this deck utilizes the Dorint/Claudas units. When they’re in the same column, Dorint hits for 22k and I can Countercharge, which helps my deck a lot as Shadow Paladin decks are quite heavy on Counterblast.
  • In addition, there are many combos such as striding a Blaster unit over Blaster Dark “Diablo”, as his skill (retire on stride) can be used in many ways — to retire an interceptor or units that have useful skills, or to get rid of extra units so that they’ll be either vulnerable to Phantom Blaster “Diablo”‘s skill or be pressured to retire them to guard.
  • Spectral Blaster “Diablo” is also very self-sustaining as every Grade 3 in my deck has a “Diablo” in the name, and as such, even though I have to retire a unit for his GB3 skill, if I have a “Diablo” heart, I can superior call a Grade 1 from my deck, which is useful because most of my toolkit cards are Grade 1.
  • Unfortunately, one thing that I’ve noticed is that it cannot last very long, even with Hoel refilling the soul when Kahedin is called to the field. Spectral Blaster “Diablo” requires a Soul Blast 1, and Vortimer’s on ride skill also requires a Soul Blast 1.

Cardfight #59: Ben’s Nightrose Granblue Deck Profile

Cardfight #58: Dempster’s Regalia Genesis Deck Profile

Hey, fighters!

Cardfight #58 sees us pit Dempster’s Regalia Genesis deck against Josephine’s Arboros Neo Nectar deck. You can check the video above to see the bout, but if you’re interested in seeing the Regalia deck profile, we have it in this post.

If you want to check out what’s in the Arboros deck, click here.

Take note that this build is one that is used for this cardfight. Changes may have been already made at this point in time by the owner. You are welcome to learn from this deck profile, if you are looking to build one, but we highly encourage you to build yours to fit you.

First Vanguard
Battle Maiden, Amenohoakari

Triggers:-
4 Regalia of Far-sight, Clear Angel (Critical)
4 Mirror Regalia, Achlis (Stand)
4 Regalia of Foredoom, Lot Angel (Draw)
4 Regalia of Compassion, Eir (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
2 Apple Witch, Cider
4 Exorcism Regalia, Shiny Angel
3 Next Era Regalia, Skuld
2 Witch of Strawberries, Framboise (Sentinel)
2 Cold Blast Regalia, Svalinn (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
4 Midday Regalia, Hemera
2 Regalia of Fertility, Freyja
4 Regalia of Fate, Norn
2 Twilight Regalia, Hesperis

Grade 3s:-
4 Cosmic Regalia, CEO Yggdrasil
4 Present Era Regalia, Verthandi

Strides and G Guardians:-
4 Prehistoric Regalia, Urthr
1 Sacred Flame Ultimate Regalia, Demeter
1 Beast-Slayer Military Deity, Tyr
4 Mythical Destroyer Beast, Vanargandr
2 Mythical Hellsky Beast, Fenrir
2 Sky-dome Battle Maiden, Hanasatsuki (G-Guardian)
2 Goddess of Seven Colors, Iris (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • Right off the bat, I just wanna say that the original Regalia build was good enough on its own prior to G-BT08, but with the new boost, its capability is further expanded with the inclusion of Stride support. It’s not like certain clans/builds where you get only 1 or 2 cards which don’t really do much; Regalia’s support in G-BT08 can be game-changing.
  • Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s not without its weaknesses. In fact, it still suffers from the same problem the original Regalia build had: hand size. The problem mainly stemmed from the fact that there is virtually no way to draw extra cards other than checking Draw Triggers and Next Era Regalia, Skuld’s skill, but they can only help so much.
  • Present Era Regalia, Verthandi is a great companion to CEO Yggdrassil, simply because of her “stride skill”. While not really a stride skill per se compared to other ace Vanguards like Fenrir or Chronojet Dragon, she does give the Vanguard a valuable skill of add 1000 Power to up to three Regalia units in the front row when a card is sent to the soul by any means. Couple this with Prehistoric Regalia, Urthr’s skill and other cards that let you put cards from the drop zone to the soul, and you get a very big front row.
  • Urthr is one of the best finishers a Regalia user could ever ask for, apart from CEO Yggdrassil, of course. Her initial skill on-stride of sending all your Regalia cards from the drop zone into the soul helps prepare for her other skill, which at the same time activates Verthandi’s “stride skill” of adding 1000 Power to up to three Regalia units in the front row. Her second skill of adding 10000 Power and 1 critical to herself at the cost of a Soul Blast 6 is also spammable, potentially making your column at least 100,000 Power if you play your cards well. If your opponent has no Perfect Guards in their hand, that’s when you see your criticals hit them hard.
  • You have two choices for a first stride: Beast-Slayer Military Deity, Tyr or Sacred Flame Ultimate Regalia, Demeter. Both strides let you soul charge to prepare for CEO Yggdrassil’s Legion skill in case you can’t stride the next turn, but Demeter is a more consistent Soul Charger because of her free cost since you’re sure to Counter Charge at least once with her skill. Tyr is a good alternative, but it relies more on the luck of getting a Grade 1 or higher in order to Soul Charge. Plus he can’t set up for Urthr for your next stride like Demeter can.
  • Believe it or not, Vanagandr works quite well with this build with his ability to help you check for Triggers with a cost of a Soul Blast 6. He makes sure that you get the cards you need and since he takes the Regalia namesake as well, Norn and Achlis’ skills will also add 5000 Power to your Vanguard, which adds extra pressure on your opponent.

Cardfight #58: Dempster’s Regalia Genesis Deck Profile

Cardfight #58: Josephine’s Arboros Neo Nectar Deck Profile

Hey, fighters!

Cardfight #58 sees us pit Josephine’s Arboros Neo Nectar deck against Dempster’s Regalia Genesis deck. You can check the video above to see the bout, but if you’re interested in seeing the Arboros deck profile, we have it in this post.

If you want to check out what’s in the Regalia deck, click here.

Take note that this build is one that is used for this cardfight. Changes may have been already made at this point in time by the owner. You are welcome to learn from this deck profile, if you are looking to build one, but we highly encourage you to build yours to fit you.

First Vanguard
Arboros Dragon, Ratoon

Triggers:-
2 Flower Garden Maiden, Mylis (Critical)
4 Maiden of Zephyranthes (Critical)
4 Maiden of Daybreak (Stand)
1 Watering Elf (Stand)
1 Maiden of Morning Glory (Stand)
4 Fairy Light Dragon (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
4 Arboros Dragon, Branch
4 Arboros’ Frontal Guard, Aira
2 Valkyrie of Reclamation, Padmini
2 100% Orange (Sentinel)
2 Arboros’ Defensive Wall, Sanelma (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
4 Arboros Dragon, Timber
4 Arboros’ Royal Guard, Airi
3 Maiden of Flower Screen

Grade 3s:-
4 Arboros Dragon, Sephirot
3 Arboros Compost Dragon

Strides and G Guardians:-
4 Arboros Dragon, Ein Soph Ohr
2 Dream-spinning Ranunculus, Ahsha
4 Sacred Tree Dragon, Jingle Flower Dragon
2 Rain Element, Madew
2 Sacred Tree Dragon, Rain Breath Dragon (G-Guardian)
2 Flower Princess of Autumn Scenery, Verna (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • This deck was a test build I came up with to test out the new support. As such, there are many improvements to be made, some of which I have yet to discover for myself.
  • I had intended to play two copies of Watering Elf, but I only had one copy on hand. The reason why I use her and Maiden of Zephyranthes is to serve as fodder for Soul Blasts for Arboros Dragon, Ein Soph Ohr’s skill.
  • While three copies may be enough, I included four of Arboros’ Frontal Guard, Aira instead, as her “Arboros” namesake can be combined well with Arboros Dragon, Ein Soph Ohr’s skill.
  • With both Arboros’ Royal Guard, Airi and Maiden of Flower Screen’s abilities to copy the name of another unit, you can pressure your opponent with additional Power using Sacred Tree Dragon, Jingle Flower Dragon, favors playing more Stand Triggers in the deck.
  • But, if you feel that there are better Grade 2s to play, Maiden of Flower Screen can be taken out for them. Maiden of Flower Screen’s skill may clash with Arboros’ Defensive Wall, Sanelma’s skill. Playing one copy would be enough if you want to include it in your deck.

Cardfight #58: Josephine’s Arboros Neo Nectar Deck Profile

Cardfight #57: Dempster’s Beast Deity Nova Grappler Deck Profile

Hey, fighters!

Cardfight #57 sees us pit Dempster’s Beast Deity Nova Grappler deck against ZaCaptain’s Zeal Dimension Police deck. You can check the video above to see the bout, but if you’re interested in seeing the Beast Deity deck profile, we have it in this post.

If you want to check out what’s in the Zeal deck, click here.

Take note that this build is one that is used for this cardfight. Changes may have been already made at this point in time by the owner. You are welcome to learn from this deck profile, if you are looking to build one, but we highly encourage you to build yours to fit you.

First Vanguard
Beast Deity, Riot Horn

Triggers:-
4 Beast Deity, Death Stinger (Critical)
4 Beast Deity, Bright Cobra (Stand)
4 Beast Deity, Great Eater (Stand)
3 Beast Deity, Rescue Bunny (Heal)
1 Ring Girl, Clara (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
4 Beast Deity, Frog Master
4 Beast Deity, Horned Hulk
2 Beast Deity, Max Beat
4 Beast Deity, Solar Falcon (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
4 Beast Deity, Dragotwist
3 Beast Deity, Hatred Chaos
4 Beast Deity, Jackalord

Grade 3s:-
4 Beast Deity, Ethics Buster
4 Strongest Beast Deity, Ethics Buster Extreme

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Meteokaiser, Tribrut
4 Meteokaiser, Vic-Ten
2 Meteokaiser, Victoplasma
4 Ultimate Beast Deity, Ethics Buster Catastrophe
4 Righteous Superhuman, Blue Prison (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • Believe it or not, this is actually what I would consider a pretty common Beast Deity build, because most of the cards from the older sets remain. There weren’t that many boosts given for Beast Deities except for a handful of newer cards, so there really isn’t much to say about it. All I can say is that cards like Beast Deity, Golden Anglet and Beast Deity, Desert Gator could be switched out for better cards like Dragotwist and Jackalord and so on.
  • Horned Hulk is a rather interesting card, but his skill is a little costly. You have to rest him in order to give 5000 Power to another unit. Considering where you put him on the field, you either lose a viable 7000 Power booster or lose an extra attack. I understand that with Beasty Deity, there exists a very high chance of standing your rear-guards, but I digress.
  • Dragotwist is a good alternative to Tribrut and works very well here as you’re able to use his skill to retire one of your opponent’s rear-guards with equal or lower Power than him. The only drawback is that he does not get extra power when standing, but with a deck that focuses a lot on standing, it makes almost no significant difference.
  • With standing being the main focus here, Ethics Buster Extreme is the main Vanguard to ride to, of course. Even though Ethics Buster’s Break Ride skill only works best with Ethics Buster Reverse, there isn’t really any other Grade 3s to put in with Extreme. At the very least, having the extra permanent 2000 Power from Extreme’s skill by having Ethics Buster in the soul can be helpful against low power attacking units.
  • In order to maximise the standing potential, playing 12 stands or even 16 stands is common. However, I only play 8 stands and 4 criticals because having extra Criticals against my opponent will help against those that can take the multiple attacks.
  • Ethics Buster Catastrophe is a very much needed stride for Beast Deities, giving the same skill as Ethics Buster Extreme, as well as 3000 Power to the rear-guard that stood if you have 2 or more Ethics Buster Catastrophe in the G Zone. Not only that, you get to check one extra card compared to just having Ethics Buster Extreme, which greatly increases your chances to stand an extra rear-guard. Couple that with Max Beat and Riot Horn, all your rear-guards will stand again, ready for another barrage.

First Vanguard:-
Larva Beast, Zeal

Triggers:-
4 Demon-eye Monster, Gorgon (Critical)
4 Cosmic Hero, Grandscold (Stand)
4 Gem Monster, Jewelmine (Draw)
4 Dissection Monster, Kaizon (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
3 Foxy Charmy

Grade 2s:-
4 Devourer of Planets, Zeal
3 Fusion Monster, Bugreed
3 Ionization Monster, Plazm
3 Menacing Monster, Golmenas

Grade 3s:-
3 Galactic Beast, Zeal
3 New Era Beast, Zeal
3 Elegance Feather

Strides and G-Guardians:-
1 Dark Superhuman, Omega
1 Dark Superhuman, Pretty Cat
1 Super Giant of Light, Enigman Crossray
1 Super Cosmic Hero, X-rogue
2 Super Cosmic Hero, X-falcon
1 Super Cosmic Hero, X-phoenix
2 Super Cosmic Hero, X-gallop
3 Super Cosmic Hero, X-tiger
2 Enigman Patriot (G-Guardian)
2 Super Cosmic Hero, X-carivou (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • With this deck, the main focus, obviously, is to depower your opponent as much as you can, while attacking with units that have on-hit effects. Putting in Draw Triggers in this deck helps to get more cards into your hand for calling onto the field and defending.
  • For Stand Triggers, The choice of Grandscold against Operator Girl, Reika is very hard, but I went with Grandscold for the extra power he can give to a Stride unit, and as an extra count in the soul. With Golmenas, you would want to avoid blasting out Devourer of Planets, Zeal, so that you can keep the permanent 1000 Power on Galactic Beast, Zeal. But as long as you can get a 7000 Power booster behind the Vanguard, Reika is not a bad choice just for her guaranteed draw.
  • Looking back at the fight, this deck’s main weakness is fighting an opponent who doesn’t want to hit you to 4 damage. Galactic Zeal’s Limit Break is the only guarantee of power drop that you have. Plasm has become unfavorable as of late, so it may be worth switching him out for Dimensional Robo, Dailion.
  • Dropping Evolution Monster, Davain, due to space, dealt a strong blow to the deck’s impact. But with the potential reintroduction of Dailion in the next iteration, Davain can also return. His ability to switch your Vanguard from Zeal to Zeal will help proc unit skills like Bugreed even easier.
  • To review the new cards given in G-BT08 for Zeal, Elegance Feather, Golmenas and Foxy Charmy gave the Zeal deck a good refresh. Golmenas’ power drop during your opponent’s turn greatly helps with defences, as long as what’s in your soul. Foxy Charmy, with the magic number in mind, also helps both offensively and defensively, when dealing with a nasty column of rear-guards. Elegance Feather is the odd one out here, but her skill adds that on-hit pressure onto the Vanguard. It’s one off, but in the event that you need that power or on-hit threat, she’s your girl.
    • On a side note, Elegance Feather replaced Miracle Beauty. The lack of Stand power was the deciding factor.
  • Overall, it is a fun deck to use to mess around with your opponent and their ability to calculate numbers for guarding. It is possible to introduce a couple of Cosmic Heroes that will power up your rear-guards or Vanguard, but ultimately, it’s important to keep the deck fun.

3 Jinx Stealth Hermit, Abudataishi (G-Guardian)
1 Dark Element, Dizmel (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • There hasn’t been much changes between this deck and the last time you have seen it. But since there were no notes back then, I’ll provide them here.
  • With Afterimage, it only adds the ability to bounce units back to your hand from the field, but that only works when your opponent retrieves back units you forced him to put into the bind zone. Shiranui’s stride skill is a perfect way to ensure that your opponent does so, and with the added abilities from units such as Kamojigusa, which forces your opponent to send a bound unit to the drop zone, it makes the aim of the game with this Nubatama build one where you limit his choice of guards.
  • You will still have to deal with his full hand during his turns, but again, with Afterimage, as long as you have 6 or less cards in your hand, you can reinforce your hands with more guards. And if they still remain in your hand at that time, any on-call skills they would have can be reactivated once again.

First Vanguard
Hope Child, Turiel

Triggers:-
3 Encourage Celestial, Tamiel (Stand)
1 Doctoroid Refros (Stand)
4 Happy Bell, Nociel (Stand)
4 Surgery Angel (Stand)
4 Sunny Smile Angel (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
4 Battle Cupid, Nociel
3 Black Bomber, Maalik
3 Black Call, Nakir
4 Doctroid Remnon (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
4 Black Slice, Harut
3 Love Machine Gun, Nociel
4 Nurse of Broken Heart

Grade 3s:-
4 Black Shiver, Gavrail
4 Love Sniper, Nociel

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Black Seraph, Gavrail
4 Holy Seraph, Nociel
4 Holy Seraph, Raphael
1 Holy Seraph, Raziel
1 Holy Seraph, Zachariel
1 Holy Seraph, Oriphiel (G-Guardian)
2 Holy Seraph, Suriel (G-Guardian)
1 Dark Element, Dizmel (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • In my opinion, Love Sniper, Nociel is currently the strongest Grade 3 Angel Feather unit, being able to fetch back other Nociel units, especially Battle Cupid for later use.
  • Comboing Holy Seraph, Nociel with Black Slice, Harut and Black Bomber, Maalik  is the best way to go, as you can attack with Harut to call a unit from the damage zone, preferably Nurse of Broken Heart. Then use Nociel to send Harut and Maalik to the damage zone and then call them back to make use of Harut’s skill again in the same attack phase.
  • Gavrail is a good Vanguard to fall back on when you are dealing with control style decks like Kagero and Granblue.
  • Overall, I find Angel Feather to be a technical deck , even with the restriction to Doctoroid Refros. It can devastate an opponent, especially against decks that can’t get rid of Nurse of Broken Heart easily.
  • There is a lot of practice required with this kind of build, as you will need the battle experience to learn how to flow your cards into the combo you need to set up, as well as be familiar with what deck you are up against.
  • Because of the new Rescue mechanic, Stand triggers work better in this deck than Critical triggers. When you stride to Black Seraph, Gavrail and use the Rescue ability, checking the Stand trigger would be more beneficial.
